About Poems

What makes you feel like kickstarting the day when you wake up? What makes your day comfortable? Being alone. Spending time with your loved one. With your kids. Despite your head flowing because of all your to-do’s, time seems fluid. We are chronically overwhelmed and aren’t always allowed to slow down. My intent is to demonstrate that we’re able to stand still and ask ourselves what truly counts for us. Let’s create a place where we can allow ourselves to recharge and put things in perspective. For now, everything is going and coming your way.

Dare to show where you’re coming from. Make new memories and not only cherish and remember them. Let them be part of your interior and share it with the world. See what colour is doing to your mood. Know that art isn’t only a painting on the wall. See the variety in light and how it can make you more productive or will calm you down. Create corners to retreat or where you’ll experience the best nights with your family and friends.

Key points in my life are to dream, cherish, have fun, create, care and to find balance. My balance comes back to me in interior design and my job as an ICU-nurse. I meet people in their most vulnerable phase in life and my outlook on life has changed because of this. I’ve learned so much more about appreciation and this reflects on my design process by getting to know my client, because that’s the only way to make my designs personal. My appreciation for people and the world reflects the fact that I like to focus on what’s already there. Be sustainable and mix new with the old to come to an original and authentic warm home. Secondhand and vintage can be so beautiful and refreshing. It gives us that nostalgic feeling but also satisfaction by doing good.

Poems Interior is an ode to your stories. A poem doesn’t have to rhyme. It’s written from your deepest within. Layer by layer straight back to the core of your feelings. A statement. The same goes up for your interior. To work with layers. Stimulate all the senses. Let me help you make it yours.
